More About Tara:
Tara is a former professional dancer with a BFA from the University of the Arts (UArts) located in Philadelphia. She’s performed with companies like the Martha Graham Dance Company during her college career. She’s worked with many artistic directors and company members throughout the Philadelphia area - including Philadanco, Brandywine, The Rock School, Pennsylvania Ballet, and more. Tara wanted to focus her dance career in Europe. In 2007 she started making inroads by taking part in a week-long collaboration program between UArts and LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts). By the time she graduated in 2008, she was accepted into the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for their summer dance program in London.
However, before she would embark on her trip, she injured her knee at an audition. This event changed the trajectory of her life - career, emotional health, mental health, and physical health. Until this point, Tara had been burning the candle at both ends which caused her well-being to suffer. Dance was her only love and passion. Her passion to pursue her art as a profession was something no one else in her family had embarked on. She was ill-prepared for all the stresses she would encounter without a solid support foundation. Not wanting to fail or give up, her body decided for her.
Not knowing who she was if she wasn’t in the studio and trying to process where she was going next with a knee injury; Tara’s mental health spiraled darker until she hit her rock bottom. From there, she started paying closer attention to her mental health, re-enrolled in school for Paralegal Studies at Peirce College, and started to plan where she was going next in her career. Her first job while still in paralegal studies was as a Student Clerk with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) where she worked in the criminal division and assisted in research on white-collar crime cases - Mortgage Fraud, Identity Theft, Financial Fraud/Embezzlement.
Her paralegal career took her to Virginia where she would ultimately specialize in Trust and Estate Law, specifically, the administration of Estates. As her mental and emotional health began to mend; she started craving more physical activity, again. The sedentary lifestyle was not what she had envisioned for her future and it had significantly changed her body. In addition, she recognized that corporate life was not where she wanted to stay.
In 2017, she stepped out on her own as a certified Nutrition & Wellness Consultant until 2020 when she was hired by a health-tech start-up. She joined their content team to build out member-facing material around weight management, wrote the wellness section of their weight-care program, and managed their monthly newsletter and monthly member challenges until she moved into a health coach manager position. By the end of 2022, the company downsized and Tara went back to her own business with a completely different perspective.
From the end of 2022 through all of 2023, Tara started reworking her brand and dove deep into professional networking while continuing to coach part-time and have her second baby. Tara has coached upwards of thousands of women in the health coaching space - she’s listened to many similar stories of struggles to lose weight from women whose root issue is an imbalanced work-life. In the process of listening to these women, so many of them want to work for themselves, live a life off of a clock, with no limitations on the money they can make, and be in control of their livelihood.
This is how Grounded Energy111, LLC came to be. Helping woman-led health and wellness businesses establish their brand’s voice through written content, marketing collaborations, and public relations collaborations to amplify brand awareness and business growth.
